I am taking an Instructional Technology class at FVCC and I created a Bring Your Own Device project for a 8th grade class. I did some research and and created a rationale using the theme “technology is a tool, not a learning objective.” This rationale explores how to incorporate mobile devices into the curriculum in an appropriate fashion. It is important to have classroom expectations built prior to initiating a BYOD lesson. I created a letter for parents and administrators detailing my expectations built around this project.
I also created a simple and a complex lesson for my students where they used their devices in class.
